Implementation for Global Logistics Company

Our client is a logistics company with a global reach, providing logistics services using land, air and sea transport. It is a transnational corporation operating in the TSL industry, employing over 70 thousand employees in 2,000 branches around the world.

Project scope

Our cooperation with the client began with the implementation of the Time Harmony system in the warehouses of the Polish branch of the company. In a short time, the client began to notice the benefits of the implementation.

IMPROVEMENT OF WORK ORGANIZATION. UNIFIED REPORTING.

Data on activity time and efficiency contributed to the improvement of organization and work planning, process optimization, thanks to data on activities and idle times, and consistent reporting between departments. The savings generated by working with the Time Harmony system and the clear positive impact on the organization of work echoed in the Company's headquarters, which is why P2P2 was invited to an international tender for a software provider as part of the company's global Labour Management Project. The main assumptions of the project included:

  • Improving the organization of warehouse workers' work
  • Unified reporting at the global level
  • Increase productivity through better workflow
  • Process optimization

LABOUR MANAGEMENT AT A GLOBAL LEVEL

Thanks to its advanced functionalities in the field of monitoring the course of work processes, Time Harmony was chosen as one of the leading systems for the implementation of the project in the Company's branches in numerous branches of the company around the world.

The launch of the project was a huge success for our team and no less challenging!

The key hurdle faced throughout the project

In a short time, we had to adapt the system to support any language, report activities performed in different time zones, and implement local holiday calendars. In addition, we were commissioned to expand the reporting system based on global templates provided by the client.

An additional challenge was to adapt the terminals to work in the iOS operating system. In our previous projects, we have provided our customers with our own devices based on the Android system. However, the Client's American branch decided to implement the system on the company's Apple devices. In response to this need, we quickly developed an iOS-compatible instance of Time Harmony, ensuring full functionality and smooth operation of the system on the new platform.

And all this during the ongoing internal project of completely rebuilding Time Harmony to version 3.0, as part of which, m.in, we changed the framework platform, rebuilt the modular concept of the system, combined two previously independent modules into one, introduced personalized desktops and expanded the organization module.

Cooperation

After 1.5 years from the launch of the project, we implemented the Time Harmony system in Argentina, South Africa, the United States, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and France. Soon we will have implementations in the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

Quick benefits

Already in the first days after the implementation, the Client's branch managers reported to us benefits such as:

  • Increased transparency of work – recording activities allows for better control over the implementation of tasks
  • Optimization of resource allocation – data on workload per customer allows for better planning and personnel allocation
  • Improved operational efficiency – by monitoring uptime and eliminating idle times
  • Improving work organization and planning
  • Increase in self-control and self-organization of employees
  • Consistent reporting

End results of multi-site implementation within the project

  • A cross-cutting view of work processes
  • Unified reporting
  • Benchmarking data for analysis
  • Improving work organization
  • Balanced task allocation and workload planning
  • Increase in self-control and self-organization of work
